International Day Against Racism and Discrimination
The Multicultural Bankers Belgium team would like to thank you sincerely for your participation in our event last night as well as for your demonstration of leadership, courage and a growth mind-set. Thank you for sharing, for challenging and for listening.
The event was a success, with 200 current and future multicultural bankers filling up The Merode. We received so much positive feedback from young students at Madiba Club Solvay, to KU Leuven and VUB – to our colleagues at the various financial institutions and outside the sector as well.
The message during the International Day Against Racism and Discrimination was clear: We understand that there is still change that needs to happen in the financial industry, and we need to add a level of integrity, courage, leadership and responsibility to make that change happen. But we commit to making it happen.
We would like to thank ING, BNP Paribas Fortis, Febelfin, Triodos, Microstart, Euroclear and Belfius for signing the pledge, and formally kickstarting this historical moment. We are confident that other institutions will follow and are more than happy to be the partner to help in that process!
